NASCAR veteran Ken Schrader will drive the No.96 Toyota in place of Brad Coleman for Hall of Fame Racing in this weekend's Sharpie 500 Sprint Cup Series race at Bristol Motor Speedway.

NASCAR released Tuesday the 2009 schedules for all three of its national touring divisions, featuring several realignment dates for the Sprint Cup Series and the addition of the Iowa Speedway on the Nationwide Series schedule.

Look out Kyle Busch. Here comes Carl Edwards, who turned his championship quest up a notch with a victory in Sunday's 3M Performance 400 at the Michigan International Speedway. Edwards held off Busch, the current points leader, in a two-lap shootout to the finish to claim his fifth Sprint Cup victory of the season. He performed his signature back-flip off his car not once, but twice, in Michigan this past weekend as he also won Saturday's Nationwide Series race.

Carl Edwards scored a weekend sweep at the Michigan International Speedway Sunday by winning the 3M Performance 400. Edwards, who also captured the victory in Saturday's Nationwide Series race, held off points leader Kyle Busch in a final two-lap shootout to become just the second driver to win both races at the two-mile oval on the same weekend. He joined Mark Martin, who recorded a weekend sweep at Michigan in August 1993.

Brian Vickers captured the pole for Sunday's 3M Performance 400 at the Michigan International Speedway. The No.83 Toyota driver rounded the two-mile oval in 38.189 seconds (188.536 m.p.h.).

Tony Stewart has named Ryan Newman as the second driver of Stewart-Haas Racing. Newman, the 2008 Daytona 500 champion, will drive the No.4 Chevrolet for the team, starting next year.

The NASCAR Sprint Cup and Nationwide Series head to the Irish Hills of Michigan for a weekend of racing at the two- mile Michigan International Speedway.

Kyle Busch established himself as NASCAR's new "road-course king," and Australian driver Marcos Ambrose scored his first Nationwide Series victory during a memorable weekend of racing at the historic 2.45-mile Watkins Glen International.

Kyle Busch is now NASCAR's new "road- course king." Busch scored a season-sweep in the Sprint Cup series' two road- course events this year by winning Sunday's Centurion Boats at The Glen at Watkins Glen International. He won the June 22nd Sprint Cup race at Infineon Raceway in Sonoma, Calif. Busch also captured the victory in the April 20th Nationwide event at the road course in Mexico City.

Boris Said will replace Kyle Petty in the No.45 Dodge for the Centurion Boat at The Glen at Watkins Glen International. Said originally did not make the field for Sunday's race since qualifying at Watkins Glen was rained out Friday.
